All of the stone is sanded and polished and sealed with a protective satin finish. Like putting a clear coat over paint, this reveals all of the dramatic colors within the stone and sets each individual feature apart from the next. The surface the water runs over is a standard mirror, which reflects the natural beauty of the water cascading over it and allows for this feature to double as a nicely framed mirror when it is turned off. This feature has been designed with the bottom of the mirror to be submerged in the water, which allows the water to make a very soft trickle sound and evokes a calming sensation that only water can bring.
